His most recent verdict was for $23 million against the Los Angeles Unified School District for their failure to protect a 10 year old little boy from being repeatedly sexually abused by his 5th grade teacher. The victory in this most recent case follows on the heels of a $30 million verdict Estey and his team won against a private foster family agency in Northern California (Giarretto Institute) for the agency’s failure to protect a young boy from being sexually abused by his foster father.
