The San Diego Children's Hospital and Wayne Bleyle Child Molestation Case

San Diego Children's Hospital respiratory therapist Wayne Bleyle was arrested on charges of sexually molesting children in his care while working the the hospital recently. Bleyle was arrested after authorities seized computers and a hard drive at his home and found possibly more than 100,000 images of child pornography. Bleyle has worked at its long-term convalescent facility for 10 years as a respiratory therapist and had contact with patients requiring constant attention. Patients at this section of the hospital generally cannot feed, bathe or dress themselves which makes these horrific crimes even more horrifying. Over the course of Bleyles time at the convalescent facility, 176 patients were treated. So far three patients have been identified in the photographs seized from Bleyle's computer although authorities are seeking records on nine of the patients, some existing and some former patients. In a phone interview, Bleyle admitted to molesting a "countless" number of disabled patients.
